Morning loves,
How are we doing on this beautiful Tuesday after the Easter long weekend? Well, I for one had a really frazzled morning! I ran out the door this morning without grabbing my lunch bag or my phone and the streetcar I was on…{cue drum roll} broke down 5 minutes after I got on!! Ugh not my best morning but hey I did have a great long weekend and did quite a few fun things, one of them being high tea with a dear friend.
We chose to go to the Windsor Arms Tea Room in Yorkville for our afternoon tea. To be clear, I am not a tea person. I actually don’t drink anything caffeinated (I know, no morning coffee runs either!). I can’t explain why, it’s partly for health and partly because I dislike the taste of caffeine. I do enjoy herbal teas though and have been to high tea at Shangri-La before and really enjoyed it. But my friend spent a few years in London and enjoys her afternoon tea and crumpets (not going to lie, I do love crumpets!)
Anyway, long story short, over the weekend we enjoyed some delicious and gourmet sandwiches, petit fours, biscuits and scones made in-house at the Windsor Arms. I had the apple and mango herbal blend tea while my friend had the chai latte. We enjoyed a beautiful European ambiance and the tea room even has 3 different lounges to choose from (purple, green and blue) – the settings in each are more or less similar with slight variations in seating and light fixtures! Overall, it was a great afternoon of catching up, good conversation cute little tea pots and lots of sweet treats!
Later on, we even stopped by the new YSL boutique in Yorkville to check out their latest collection and I will make a post about it next week. All in all, it was indeed a Good Friday!

Nice pics Aura. Reminded me of Mumbai when we had tea time in the 4 stars hotel. I will always have good memories of that trip.
